our Halloween costumes

The kids told me they wanted to be the Wonder Pets for Halloween. The Wonder Pets are three classroom pets, a guinea pig, a duckling, and a turtle, who rescue animals in trouble. The kids really love the show, and like to wander all over the house playing at being Wonder Pets. Luckily, there was no argument about who was going to be which character, since they have different favorites. Linny, the guinea pig, is the leader, so naturally that would be Z. Ming-Ming, the duckling, is cute and brave. Of course, she's E's favorite. Then there's the third member, Tuck the Turtle. But I only have two kids.
You see where this is going, don't you?

My execution:

My shoes are wrong in this photo - Tuck wears blue and white water shoes. I didn't bring them to this party, as it's a shoes-off location, and I didn't think about needing them for the photos. I also didn't have my Tuck hat. Ah well. And you cant see my turtle shell too well, as it's under the cape.




The kids LOVE them, and it's pretty clear the capes and the hats will be used for a long time to come.

OH, that is so cute!!! It makes me kind of sad that Ira is already too old to be convinced to be a wonderpet now, let alone by the time that Bubble is old enough to trick or treat as well.

As he said, he put on tie-dye, let down his hair, and put a bandana around his head. People might have better known he was dressed up if he'd been able to find the Lennon circle sunglasses he wanted.
