We need more people for the Frogz show in order to get the group discount! Please speak up if you're interested. I think it will be great fun.

The show Frogz has been extended to July 31st. I would like to propose a group outing to a Saturday or Sunday matinee. The show would be at 2pm, and the price would be $25 for adults and $20 for children.

Leave a comment with available/preferred dates and number of adults/kids:

Saturday, July 23
Sunday, July 24
Saturday, July 30
Sunday, July 31

The deadline to get in on this is Friday, July 8 at noon.

(The better seats would be on the last two days.)

I am putting together a group to go see the show FROGZ at the American Repertory Theatre in Harvard Sq. Click to see a preview of the show: http://www.imagotheatre.com/Frogs.mov

The show runs only June 21-July 10, and we can get a discount off the ticket prices if we get things together quickly. I don't know the price for sure, but it would be no more than $30 for adults and $20 for kids, and probably less.

Please let me know ASAP if you would like to go. I think the best dates would be a matinee on Saturday July 2, Sunday July 3, or Sunday July 10. I'm going to pick Saturday July 2. If you want to go but the date doesn't work for you, leave a note to that effect and we'll see if there's enough interest to warrant a date change.

So - let me know:
"I'm in for any of those dates with N adults and N children"
"I'm in for X date(s) only with N adults and N children"

For those of you who didn't hear me rave about the show "Star Wars: Musical Edition" written by some MIT people about two years ago, here's your chance to get in on the fun. Every song was set to a famous tune by a famous musicals composer - Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, etc. It was hysterical (and I'd love to get a copy of the audio or video), and now you lucky people have a chance to see it again! MIT will revive/revise the show November 11-13, 17-19, 2005.

First, a social gathering opportunity: The Flying Karamazov Brothers will be in Cambridge performing their new show, LIFE: A Guide for the (Politically) Perplexed* from July 21-Aug 8.
*convention edition! (for the DNC)

If we get a group of 10 or more, the ticket price drops from $45 down to $25. We are proposing an outing for the Sunday matinee on July 25th at 2pm. If this works for you and you would like in (and you are someone I know), let me know how many people and I will take care of getting the tickets. Don't forget to mark it on your calendar!

If you want to go but can't make 7/25, speak up - maybe enough people will want to change the date that it might happen.

Now on to the favor: [livejournal.com profile] dsrtao has managed to find someone who wants to give us their lawn glider/swing, one of those big wooden things with two facing seats. The one catch is that we need to pick it up. The first thing we need is an open-bed pickup truck, and the second thing we need is 4-5 people willing to help go load the thing into the truck in JP and then unload it in Waltham. Compensation will most likely be in the form of yummy food. If you can help, please let me know. Thanks! Then we'll try to find a weekend day to make this happen. If nothing else, my parents will be back here with their truck during July 4th weekend, and we'd ask for labor then.

(By the way, if the rest of my journal looks kind of bare to you, it's because nearly everything is locked to friends-only. If you want to be friended, speak up.)
