Found in the new issue of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY:

Christopher Eccleston will join HEROES in January in a top-secret recurring role.

Also, Zachary Quinto (so noTORIous) has been cast as Sylar, and will be seen and speak a line in the 11/27 ep.
